P. Viou Super Bruyere Extra 750 Smooth Bulldog Estate Briar Pipe, French Estates

P. Viou pipes were originally made by Paul Viou, an early French artisan working around the early to mid-20th century. The P. Viou trademark was, however, later acquired by various major French pipe companies, including Vuillard and Genod. As with another P. Viou that came in recently I have a feeling this one will be from Genod, in whose safe hands the make has been for a while now (the Genod workshop, after all, has about 150 years of accumulated expertise in pipe making). The design is one of a classic bulldog shape, lightly finished as per the French tradition, and fitted with a simple, vulcanite stem. The condition is very good.
