Other LS-based engines include the Vortec 5.3L (LM7) and 6.0L (LQ4/LQ9), various crate engines like the LSX line, and specific models like the L99 (6.2L) and L76 (6.0L). Oil Pan Compatibility: Truck style rear sump oil pan will fit, however, we recommend using the LS1 Camaro style rear sump oil pan for better ground clearance. Drilling is required, and we include low-profile hardware to ensure a clean, secure fit. This design allows you to set the ideal driveshaft angle before final installation. Additionally, this mounting approach was intentionally engineered to provide superior exhaust clearance. Unlike many other kits on the market, which can interfere with custom or larger exhaust systems, our design accommodates more routing options—making exhaust fitment significantly easier and cleaner. Note: If you prefer a no-drill solution or do not want sandwich plates inside your vehicle, this kit may not be suitable. Keep in mind that not all Datsun Z transmission tunnels are the same—some modifications or massaging of the tunnel may be required depending on your chassis. For Off-Road or Race Use Only
