1984–1989 Toyota MR2 AW11 Aluminum Coolant Overflow Reservoir This aluminum coolant overflow reservoir was designed and built as a direct replacement for the factory plastic tank, which has become increasingly difficult to source and is prone to cracking with age. Constructed from high-quality aluminum, this unit offers improved durability, longevity, and a clean, motorsport-inspired look. If your MR2 has an engine swap, please review the provided dimensions to confirm fitment. We also offer a combo version of this tank that integrates a coolant overflow and oil catch can. Fitment Warning:Will not fit models equipped with a body bump and wiring harness grommet located directly below the factory coolant overflow tank.(Refer to photos for clarification.) Made to Order:Lead time is 5–15 business days. Due to the manufacturing process, some light surface scratches or imperfections may be present. Installation Notes Top Port: connect to bleed valve (normally a clear plastic line with a rubber hose at the end). Bottom Port: connect to nipple at the fill cap. Aluminum tube under the tank: (Optional) connect a hose and route it to a safe location. If coolant level inside the overflow tank exceeds maximum, excess coolant will be relieved through this port. ** IMPORTANT** Do not block this port, it needs to remain open without any obstructions.
